EXECUTIVE BOARD

Brendan Burke

As President, Brendan is responsible for the entire team’s structure and development. He is a senior double majoring in English and Political Science (with a minor in Legal Studies). This is Brendan’s fourth year on the team. Known to appreciate crafting creative defense theories, Brendan has been enjoying another successful AMTA season this 25-26.

Marcie Baron

As VPI,  Marcie is our AMTA representative and manages the team’s tournament schedule and travel. Marcie is a junior majoring in History with a minor in Legal Studies, and this is her third year with the team. Her favorite mock trial memory so far has been winning the Crimson Classic tournament in Alabama, and her favorite part about mock trial is growing her knowledge of trial advocacy while surrounded by a welcoming community. 

Loralei Kuchefski

 Loralei is a junior in her third year of ITT mock trial and sixth overall, studying English and Political Science with a minor in Spanish. As VPE, she is in charge of tryouts, social media and outreach, and team fundraising. Some of her best memories have been the friendships she formed in her first year and winning at Vanderbilt with Team Blue. Loralei enjoys working with/portraying expert witnesses, and she met her current roommate on the team! 

Avah Kizilbash

 Avah is the Treasurer, managing the team's finances. She’s a junior in her third year of mock trial, majoring in Information Systems and Data Science, with a minor in Communications. As an adrenaline junkie, she most enjoys giving closing arguments for the defense, but she also loves being a character witness since it means she gets to go up there and “be the court jester.” She likes car rides to tournaments and coming up with absurd case theories. She’s also another of our more musical members and has been playing guitar for 9 years!

Axel Diehl

Axel is our Tournament Director for the 2025-26 season, which means he is responsible for coordinating our fall invitational tournament, the 18th Annual Illini Invite! Axel is a sophomore, and this is his second year with the team.

Eunice Park

As Secretary, Eunice organizes the organization's information, manages case materials and the website, and facilitates communication between members. She is a junior majoring in Political Science and English, with a minor in Spanish and Legal Studies. This is Eunice's third year on the ITT mock trial, and she's excited to meet all of the newbies joining this year! One of her favorite memories on this team was understanding and learning all about experts last year (something she "used to absolutely despise").

Sonny Steinhauer

 Sonny is our Social Chair, which means he’s responsible for developing ITT’s social calendar, organizing events, and designing team merchandise. Sonny is a History major, and as a senior, this is his third year on the team.
