We are so excited that you are interested in joining the team! Whether you are pre-law, have mock trial experience, or are just hearing about mock trial for the first time, we welcome you to try out for our program! The Illinois Trial Team is filled with members from all sorts of majors, backgrounds, and career paths.
When you come to try out for the team, we will ask you to portray a witness of your choice, conduct a brief cross-examination, and deliver a brief opening statement. Prior to tryouts, you will receive the tryout packet containing all the relevant information you need to prepare. If any of this seems intimidating or confusing, don’t worry! We highly encourage you to take advantage of our info nights and workshops so we can help you put your best foot forward when it comes time to try out. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with questions you might have!
